Procession Came Opposite

In 1997, three lifelong friends from Newtown, Pennsylvania, Trevor Leonard (vocals, guitar), Micheal Fennen (bass), and Gregory Labold (drums) formed a band called Borderline. Trevor, Gregory, and Michael continued to play as a three-piece from about 1997 until 1999 when they decided they needed an addition to the band. After trying out a few guitar players and finding nothing but amateurs, the boys decided to try out David Klyman, who played guitar and sang in their good friend's band, Cockeye Dunn. Instantly, Dave connected with Trev, Greg, and Mike. These four musicians began writing new songs and taking their music in a whole new direction. Dave contributed greatly to the bands dynamic sound, adding a thick rhythm guitar and soaring harmonizing vocals. With Dave in the band, the boys decided on a new name - Procession Came Opposite - to solidify their unique melodic space punk style.

The band name itself is taken from page 44, of Lewis Carroll's, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland:

"Alice was rather doubtful whether she ought not to lie down on her face like the three gardeners, but she could not remember every having heard of such a rule at processions; 'and besides, what would be the use of a procession,' thought she, 'if people had all to lie down upon their faces, so that they couldn't see it?' So she stood still where she was, and waited. When the procession came opposite to Alice, they all stopped and looked at her, and the Queen said severely 'Who is this?' She said it to the Knave of Hearts, who only bowed and smiled in reply."

Procession Came Opposite continues to grow and mature musically. They have decided to take the DIY road and make things happen for themselves. Procession Came Opposite recently recorded and self-released a seven song EP called Oceans. You can pick up your copy of Oceans today and discover melodic space punk at its finest.
