Fat Ass

"From the first time I saw Fat Ass, I knew there was something special about this band... and I mean on stage... not after the show when they kicked my ass in the bathroom."

Matt Jericho APD WXTW/Fort Wayne, Indiana

Fat Ass is the only rock 'n' roll band that could emerge from the cesspool that is Fort Wayne, Indiana. Zeke's Donny Paycheck described them as "fast, full of energy and punk as fuck!" Their sound has been professed as "Fear blindsided by the Supersuckers," by Columbus Alive.

Fat Ass formed in 1998 when Erick Fromindiana and Kibby put down their screen-printing squeegees and picked up their guitars. Unfortunately, this songwriting partnership was doomed. After many brawls with mental institute orderlies, it was decided that Kibby would remain a veritable, Thorazine-induced Midwestern Syd Barrett. The existing lineup finalized in 1999 with Lonesome Sal (lead vocals, guitar), Erick Fromindiana (lead guitar, vocals), Skinny Jay (bass, vocals), and Salsa Dave (drums). Fat Ass features Erick and Dave, both formerly of the Beautys, as well as past and present members of the Queers. These boys have extensively toured the Midwest, turning them into grizzled road veterans. Along the road and at home, they've played shows with Zeke, the Queers, the Hangmen, Speedealer, the Catheters, and various other rock moguls.

In 2001, the boys released Another Great Day in Shithole. Their four-track 7", which had a certain expectation being that it was released on beer-colored vinyl, did not disappoint the refined rock fan. In the autumn of 2003, the boys released their long-awaited full-length album We Have Come For Your Mothers. Both were released on Diaphragm Records.

Razorcake magazine described Fat Ass as "blistering, balls-out rock 'n' roll thunder at its trashiest and most wrathful." Their booze-fueled rock combined with their natural stage presence leaves a lasting impression on any cultured rock fan.
