Downstage

Downstage is a four-piece energy-charged rock band hailing from Central Jersey and has been in existence for a little over three years now. Pairing ultra catchy, resonating hooks with deep-gut lyrics, Downstage sets themselves apart from other contemporary artists. They gained influences from such powerhouse bands as Stone Temple Pilots, The Goo Goo Dolls, 3 Doors Down, Bush, and incorporated their own unique style to the mix.

Among their more recent accomplishments are those of being named semi-finalist in the Third Annual New Jersey Battle of the Bands, as well as having kicked off a rigorous tour of the tri-state area this past year. Downstage lit-up some of the more well-known Jersey Shore area clubs and the surrounding area - The Stone Pony, The Saint, The Pontiac (Philly), CBGB’s and the Village Underground in NYC, to name just a few.

This hardworking and eager young band had started their existence by playing over 50 shows in little more than five months in which time they gained their ever expanding, fervent following. Their recent stint to CA helped expose the band to several labels and went over extremely well. Downstage looks forward to continuing to work hard, writing songs and playing as many places as they can all over the world.

This recent CD, Flirting with Disaster, was produced by Chris Gibson (Quicksand, Rival Schools) is testament that this exciting outfits’ recent effort has HUGE written all over it — very easily accessible to radio.
