Angry Amputees
For two and half years, the Angry Amputees have been terrorizing their hometown of San Francisco with an onslaught of power punk infused with rock n roll that has taken their town by storm. Wild drunken antics onstage have built their reputation as one of the most fun bands to watch in The City by the Bay, and their shows are packed with sold-out crowds.
Starting out in SF's seedy Tenderloin District in 2000, they then infected the local hard rock club scene, tore it apart, and then called it their own. A strong and loyal following quickly built and then they watched it grow in towns all throughout the western United States. Beyond playing name clubs in big cities, they've also played alongside mainstream acts, going on tour with the Warped Tour in 2001 & 2002. In September of 2002, they won the SF Weekly Music Awards for best punk band in the Bay Area.
In January 2003, they completed recording on their first full-length album entitled, Slut Bomb, which will come out in April on Dead Teenager Records.
The Line up:
Stacey Dee:
Vocals and Rhythm Guitar. Being the most beautiful and talented creature on earth, you should be so lucky to actually see her in person. You are not worthy to hear her heavenly voice or witness her God-like songwriting skills. Get on your knees and bow Slave! Just so you know, she also packs a mean right hook.
Dalty:
Bass and Vocals. This man has no fingers. Or legs either. But who needs those when you totally shred? Always the last person to be blamed for stinking up the tour van with bad foot smell, he was also one of the first survivors of Bacterial Meningitis in 1989. Man do the chicks dig him.
Gin:
Drums and Percussion. This girl completely blows every other drummer away. Trained for 6 years, she was the spitfire anchor in the East Bay rock outfit, TM1, until of course, the Angry Amputees kidnapped her and threw her in the back of their getaway car on their way to a gig.
The Gonz:
Lead Guitar and Vocals. No one knows his real name, and its probably best if no one asked. This man has played in countless bands throughout the years, and his skills on guitar have been fined tuned by surviving on a delicate blend of Pabst Blue Ribbon, skateboarding, and eating reptile tails.
